This year’s “VH1 Divas” line up features a star-studded cast and singer Kelly Clarkson and hip hop artist Pitbull have been recently named to join that star-studded cast for performances.
R&B singer Melanie Fiona and Metric are also added to the show. Previously announced artists Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, Jordin Sparks and Demi Lovato will add to the eclectic blend of artists.
The “VH1 Divas” annual show is a spectacle in itself bringing some of the hugest names in music together to perform on one stage and this year’s show will be no exception.
Two late powerhouse and iconic singers will be honored this year, Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Both singers were known for dance hits; Summer was known for her musical stamp on the Disco era.
Clarkson will not be the only “American Idol” alum scheduled to be at the show; the show will be hosted by Adam Lambert and is scheduled to be broadcast live from L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Vh1 will also not deviate from tradition as the proceeds from ticket purchases will go towards Vh1’s signature charity, “Save the Music Foundation”.
